Country Duo, Joe & Martina Take Us Back To The 90's With Guest John Berry

For many of us 90's country was one of the best surging era's. California's Central Valley, married duo Joe & Martina (formerly known at Terra Bella) released a fun loving upbeat song requesting we bring it back again. On that I do agree along with country icon John Berry who makes a guest appearance.

This dynamic duo have been performing together for the better part of a decade, continuously honing their craft and developing into one of Country music’s most recognized rising independent artists. They have opened for Montgomery Gentry, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, and numerous others; acquired a cut on Luke Combs’ double platinum-selling album This One’s For You with the song “Don’t Tempt Me;” and other milestones. So it becomes very obvious they are no strangers to the country genre.

The collaborative single had jumped from No. 48 to No. 38 on MusicRow’s Country Breakout chart, debuted at No. 60 Billboard’s Country Indicator, and is Top 10 on CDX’s True Indie. Filmed almost entirely at The Nashville Palace, the music video was directed and produced by Just Produce Hy Def (Justin Hoskins and Steven Webster), who sculpted Joe & Martina’s reenactment of classic 90’s Country music videos peppered in between performance shots and John Berry’s climatic entrance.

“Martina and I are hardcore Country music fans first and foremost, so intentionally nodding our hats to George Strait, Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna and of course, John Berry, was nothing but an act of love for some of the artists who truly shaped us as musicians and established our life soundtrack,” said Joe. “‘Give Me Back the 90's’ is the desire to go back to the world I grew up in, its simplicity and the music."

“This song truly represents us and the foundation we were raised on, what influenced us and the way our hearts beat for Country music,” adds Martina. “I had a poster of John Berry on my wall as a kid, so having John record and appear in our music video, sharing his talent and soul, will forever remain a pinch-me moment. I grew up watching 90's Country music videos, so to bring my own version to life is one of my greatest accomplishments. We got to dance around our favorite honky tonk, dressed in the very best western fashion with John Berry… the coolest!”

Indie artists have a tougher ladder to climb, but I find they work harder and are willing to stick to who they are and not waver. From their release debut EP, 'Road To Forever' to this current song, "Give Me Back The 90's" this couple have earned their way to the road traveled by the upswing of Indie artists. I encourage you to have as much fun watching the video as they did filming it.

This newest release continues to climb the charts and after listening and watching the video you will see why. Take some time to catch up with Joe & Martina at: https://www.joeandmartina.com.
