Craig Morgan Part Of Wounded Veteran New Home Reveal

I strongly believe and support there is always time and ways to help our Military, active duty or veterans. Thanks to Country music artist Craig Morgan and Operation FINALLY HOME, Building Solutions by Spann, LLC, Christian Broadcast Network’s (CBN) Helping the Home Front and the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT), U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Josh Ferguson and his family were gifted a custom-built, mortgage-free home located in Charlotte, Tennessee.

The Fergusons were surprised with the news they were receiving the mortgage-free home at the Grand Ole Opry during a performance by country music entertainer Craig Morgan last year. The project came full circle when he surprised the Ferguson family at the dedication ceremony. Craig was joined by Taya Kyle, New York Times bestselling author and widow of U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, to hand over the keys to the new home.

During a deployment to Iraq, Josh’s vehicle was hit by an improved explosive device (IED). He sustained injuries which left him with an above the knee amputation, shrapnel pitted over his body, a surgically repaired leg, deteriorated hips, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and more. Josh’s military career continued in the Wounded Warrior Brigade. Josh was honored with awards including a Purple Heart, Combat Action Badge, GWOT Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal and many more.

“It’s incredible to be part of these events and to see the community come together to provide a foundation of hope and security for those who have served us so selflessly,” said Rusty Carroll, Operation FINALLY HOME executive director. “From the build team to all of the volunteers, the Ferguson project has certainly brought this community together. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to honor Josh and his family for their sacrifice.”

I concur with Rusty Carroll. The sacrifices are many and with love and support things can be accomplished. To find out more on Operation Finally Home go to: https://www.operationfinallyhome.org
