When any artist releases song after song, makes ya wonder when they have the time to breathe, as well as do so many other things. But I will never tire of all the hard work, thought process and great music that hit maker, singer/songwriter David Nail brings us.
“Fare Thee Well” is his latest release. Written by David with Trent Dabbs and producer Anderson East, the song tells the story of a man leaving behind a relationship in Alabama, recognizing that staying would only continue to hurt the person he cares about most. Another song that is relatable to many of us.
“This was the first time Anderson and I added a third writer, and Trent came in with the vibe. I can’t even remember how we got on the title/idea, but I remember immediately thinking, ‘this is something my father would’ve listened to when I was a kid!' It had immediate nostalgia, and the melody is so easy on the ears."
With this release, he taps into a deep emotional vulnerability, continuing to deliver the kind of storytelling that has become a signature of his artistry, authentic, heartfelt, and unmistakably his own. The creative talent of this man knows no boundaries.
I always watch and wait for another release from David & he never disappoints. In support of the new music, he is currently on his intimate "Down To The Studs Tour." This solo acoustic tour takes him to small-capacity venues across the country, showcasing a stripped-down experience with just a guitar, stories behind the songs, and his unique voice.
