Ready To Get Cookin'

I thought this section would be a good way for all of us to share some good eats like: ANYTHING GOES, HEALTHY VIBES & SWEET REWARDS. And I believe there are some artists out there who can master a day with a good recipe so this here is a start. Anyone of you can submit a recipe (s) that you enjoy and get some good ratings, or some trial and error deals; we are not here to judge. In my time I have set a few smoke alarms off myself. Heck if you have a video of you making it that gives ya gold stars. Just contact me on here via contact info or via email and the fun will begin.

Now that the weather is turning cooler I thought this would be a good one to start with:

Cabbage and Sausage Stew With Rice

1 can (14.5 oz) seasoned diced tomatoes 2 tbsp. tomato paste 1 tbsp. minced garlic 1 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 1 c. chopped onion 2 bags (10 oz each) shredded green cabbage 1 1/4 lb. turkey sausage links or patties, cut into 1" chunks 1/2 c. instant brown rice 1 c. chopped parsley


  1. Coat 4-quart or larger slow cooker with cooking spray. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, and pepper. Stir to combine.

  2. Add onion, cabbage, sausage, and rice. Mix well.

  3. Cover. Cook on low 5 to 6 hours or on high 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Stir in parsley and serve.

If anyone makes this please let us know the outcome; good or bad. Not everyone has the same tastes but some are willing to give it a shot. So get those pot's & pans out and lets get things stirred up.
